We recognize that finding time for training and development continues to be a challenge for professionals at all levels. There never seems to be room in busy schedules for re-tooling, improving or assessing the interpersonal component of our work effort.

In response to client feedback as well as organizational realities, we have compressed a number of our one day and one-half day workshops into 4 hour modules. We offer the essentials of interpersonal effectiveness with hands-on practice scenarios…all in 4 hours. The good news is everyone can afford 4 hours of their time. Also, it’s very affordable.

A brief description of each workshop module follows. Any workshop may be tailored for your organization with scenarios which you experience and are challenged with on any given day.

Our mini workshop modules include:

Effective Communications
Individuals learn about the role that our thinking plays in communications and interpersonal dynamics. Fundamental tools for listening and speaking are presented and practiced in real life scenarios. Finally, giving and receiving feedback, a MUST for managers and supervisors, is presented and practiced by each participant. Participants have the option to focus on work or personal challenges. Utlimately, participants walk away learning how to most productively understand what’s being conveyed and accurately communicate what is intended.

Conflict Management
Conflict does not have to be negative or painful! It Is a real part of organization and human dynamics. Workshop participants learn about their personal preferred conflict management style and other styles. Situations are explored in which participants learn when to apply different conflict management approaches. Real world situations are provided for practice. Participants leave more comfortable with conflict and tooled to effectively manage themselves when conflict emerges.

Fail-Safe Meetings
Tools, tips and templates are provided to ensure that every meeting achieves its objectives and is productive for all participants. Participants receive the LCA “tools of the trade” in meeting management and facilitation. Any meeting convener may apply these tools and quickly realize improved meeting results. Participants walk away with a plan, strategy and tools for executing a productive meeting.

Leadership Can Be Learned
We do not have to be born leaders. We can learn what it takes to lead an organization into the future and inspire others to follow. Participants explore their own leadership potential and learn the essential elements for meeting peoples’ needs and expectations. Participants are provided with guidelines for leadership excellence and walk away witha plan of action to move along the path to success.

Teams: Formation and Maintenance
Team leaders, managers, and supervisors are forming and building teams all of the time. Participants are given the recipe for successful team formation and ongoing maintenance. Key challenges are articulated and a template for effective teamwork is provided. Training is available for general application or for actual team formation efforts.
